How It Works
1. Free Consultation
We start by talking with you to learn about your needs. Whether it be an advertisement, an educational video or a documentation, we find out exactly what kind of video solution you are looking for. Once we know the nature of your project, we can then explain more about how the process works and talk about pricing information.
Although every video should have unique qualities, clients often like to point to other videos they have seen that exemplify the sort of style they are looking for. Using a video example can help us to solidify our understanding of your ideas, but it is not a necessity.
2. Pre-Production
This is where we brainstorm together on what your final product will look like and plan the steps we will take to get there. We will discuss things like the script (if needed), location(s) and lighting, style and content. We will handle the pre-shooting arrangements, such as scheduling and location scouting.
Sometimes it might seem like projects are simple enough for the pre-production details to be hashed out in your free consultation, but we always recommend taking more time to plan. The cost and difficulty of a shoot can increase greatly if all the necessary preparations are not taken into account. An extra hour of planning can sometimes save you multiple days of shooting or editing.
3. Production
If we did our job well in the Pre-Production stage, the production stage should go pretty smoothly. Our producers are experienced in virtually every role of film and video production, including lighting, directing, shooting and editing. Unlike many video companies, our camera operators and directors are always the same people you met with in pre-production. We don’t just throw freelancers onto the set while we wait back at the office; we are involved with your project through and through.
4. Post-Production
On average, a video will take 1-2 weeks to edit, but we produce many different types of projects. Simple documentation videos can be finished in a matter of a few days, while larger projects like music videos might take a few weeks or more. Again, if we did our job well in pre-production, we should already have a good estimate of the time it will take to finish your project.
Once we complete the editing, you then have the opportunity to review the video and request any changes. Once any requested changes are made, we can deliver it to you in any format you need. We offer free assistance for any web videos so that your video is certain to be uploaded exactly how it should be before you are finished with us.
